Carol Moyer, the Chairwoman, was born in Augsburg, Germany to two US Army Veterans. She grew up in southern Georgia, as a hardcore Republican who never thought she would sway from that thought pattern. Then, in 2017, a friend and former hardcore Republican Veteran turned her on to Libertarianism. After a lot of research, a lot of questions, taking the “World’s Smallest Political Quiz” and scoring 100% Libertarian, she was sold and decided to make the switch to Libertarianism. She served as the Media Coordinator for the LP in Knox County Indiana for a year, before becoming the Chairwoman in Gibson County.

Carol firmly believes that every person should have the right to run their lives the way they see fit as long as they aren’t harming anyone else with as minimal interference from the government as possible.

Kyle Garrett, the Treasurer, was born in right here in Gibson County. He grew up with parents who are complete anarchists that just don’t really know it. He grew up believing he was a Republican. About 18 years ago he was having a conversation with his boss and his boss told him he was actually a Libertarian. Kyle’s boss taught him about Libertarianism and he naturally felt drawn to it.

The Chairman of the Knox County LP reached out to Kyle and asked if Kyle would be willing to help out in Gibson County and at the Affiliating Convention in 2018. Kyle was elected as Treasurer and the rest is history.
